Refund & Cancellation Policy – The Piano Academy

The Piano Academy (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides music education services in the form of scheduled piano lessons. By enrolling in our services or making payment, you agree to the terms outlined in this Refund & Cancellation Policy.
This policy is designed in accordance with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA), where applicable.
1. No Refund Policy on Lessons
All payments made for piano lessons are strictly non-refundable.
Once a lesson package, term, or individual lesson has been purchased and payment has been received, no refunds will be issued for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Change of mind
- Scheduling conflicts
- Student withdrawal
- Missed lessons by the student
By making payment, clients acknowledge and accept this condition.
2. Fulfilment of Paid Lessons
The Piano Academy is committed to delivering all lessons that have been paid for.
All paid lessons will be:
- Provided as scheduled, or
- Rescheduled where reasonably necessary due to instructor availability or unforeseen circumstances
We ensure that students receive the full value of lessons purchased.
3. Missed Lessons by Students
If a student is unable to attend a scheduled lesson:
- At least [insert notice period, e.g. 24 hours] notice must be given to reschedule where possible
- Missed lessons without notice may be forfeited at the discretion of The Piano Academy
- Repeated missed lessons may affect scheduling availability
4. Cancellations by The Piano Academy
If a lesson must be cancelled by The Piano Academy due to unforeseen circumstances (such as instructor illness or emergency), the lesson will:
- Be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time, or
- Be credited toward a future lesson
No cash refunds will be issued.
5. Legal Compliance (South Africa – CPA)
In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), services will be provided with reasonable care and skill.
While refunds are not provided for completed or prepaid lessons, The Piano Academy will ensure that all services paid for are delivered or reasonably rescheduled where necessary.
Nothing in this policy is intended to unlawfully limit any rights provided under South African law.
6. Agreement to Terms
By enrolling in lessons, submitting payment, or booking services with The Piano Academy, you confirm that you:
- Have read and understood this Refund & Cancellation Policy
- Agree to the no-refund terms outlined above
- Accept that all payments are for scheduled educational services
